The cat must have knocked over the heater device
My place is on the first floor, but the entryway is always frosty and so is the kitchen. There is a giant radiator in the living room and it puts out a pretty good amount of heat. Sadly, the radiators throughout the rest of the place barely work at all. I have them open the entire way and they still don’t provide a reasonable amount of heat. Still, this is the only place that I can afford on my salary. It’s close to my place of work so I don’t spend a lot of time complaining, however when I realized that heating was going to be a setback, I decided to purchase a small space oil furnace to keep in the apartment. I keep the space oil furnace on the counter in the kitchen. I only have to set it to the medium setting and it provides a good amount of overheated air. Sporadically it is way too overheated and I have to turn off the oil furnace altogether. A few mornings back, the uneven temperatures were terribly cold and I set up the space oil furnace before I went to bed. I woke up in the midst of the night to get a glass of water and the bathroom was extremely cold. I walked out to the living room and I came to the realization that the space oil furnace was actually off. I turned on the light and I discovered the space oil furnace on the floor. The cat must have knocked the oil furnace over in the midst of the night. I purchased a space oil furnace that has an automatic shutoff switch. Anytime the heating device is not upright, the heating function will not even work. I promptly put the oil furnace back on the counter and placed the cat in our entryway for the remainder of the night.
