If you’re going to replace your air filters, buy a HEPA filter instead
These days, there’s nothing on the news but stuff about viruses and bacteria. If you’re like me, you would like to be sure that viruses and bacteria, along with other pollutants and contaminants, never make it into your home. I constantly worry about the indoor air quality in my house. We have respiratory issues anyway, and so we really want to be sure that there is nothing bad coming into the house. Recently, the indicator on my smart thermostat system said that it was time for us to replace the air filters in our HVAC system. I was looking at all of the different options for air filters and I noticed that the HEPA air filters were way more expensive than any of the other ones. I wanted to get an air filter that would be the best for our indoor air quality, but I wasn’t sure that I wanted to spend that much more money for a HEPA filter. I did a lot of research on different types of air filters, though. I found out that it’s definitely worth it to buy a HEPA filter. HEPA filters are able to trap 99.97 percent of particles that might be trying to make their way into your home’s ventilation system and onward into your lungs. Not only did I end up buying a HEPA filter for my heating system and one for my air conditioning unit, but I also bought an air purification system with a HEPA filter, too. Between all of these air filters, I think the indoor air quality in our house is going to be just fine.
